Find YOUR Strong! Mental Health Awareness Month

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re partnering with various Chicagoland fitness centers and groups to help you feel strong; mentally, physically and emotionally! Throughout the month you’ll find Canine Therapy Corps at five different workouts as we enhance our organization's mission and encourage YOU to find your strong.

There is strong evidence that shows the beneficial impact physical activity can have on our mental health. Physical activity is known to improve mood, self-esteem, focus and memory while decreasing anxiety, depression and stress levels. 

Canine Therapy Corps empowers and motivates individuals to improve their physical and psychological health and well-being by harnessing the human-animal bond. Therapy dog teams provide goal-directed, interactive animal-assisted therapy services free of charge by helping individuals feel better and get better.

This month we are celebrating YOU on your journey to feeling strong. We invite you to join us at any of the following workouts. Workout proceeds benefit Canine Therapy Corps to further support the services our therapy dogs provide to help others improve their lives.

Sunday, May 18 at 11am - Puppy Yoga with Chicago Canine Rescue at CTC HQ
